Sophie Harris-Taylor reveals the story behind her winning portrait in an interview with the British Journal of photography, which can be read here.
"Envisioned as an exhibition for the people, by the people, Portrait of Britain, is a testament to both the diversity of our country and contemporary photographic talent."
This portrait is part of a wider series entitled Sisters, which Sophie has been working on for the past couple of years and recently finished. The series investigates the complexities of the connections between siblings and is being published as a book with Hoxton Mini Press.
