We are excited to share Alma Haser's latest commission for Spiegel Wissen magazine, out today! Alma cut out thousands of paper squares to produce these beautiful images that will accompany three articles regarding the modern digital world.
Using woven paper across the face of the model to create a pixelated portrait for the first article about digitalisation and private life, Alma explored how our social interactions are changed by digital media.
The second article explored the opportunities and dangers of digitisation of our jobs, for this Alma focused on her subjects hands as a symbol of human labour.
Finally, Alma wove into the poppy field background as a metaphor for our pixelated surroundings for an article about technology and its relationship to the environment.
